Alimentaria & Hostelco: A resounding success for Unión Salazonera Isleña!

Last month, our company participated in the Alimentaria & Hostelco fair, held in Barcelona. This event, one of the most important in the food, beverage, foodservice and hospitality equipment sector, gave us a unique opportunity to expand our business, establish new contacts and learn about the latest market trends.

A showcase for innovation with great economic impact

This year’s edition has been marked by greater international participation, constituting an exceptional setting for the presentation of the latest trends and innovations in the sector. Visitors have been able to learn first-hand about the advances in healthy eating, sustainability, digitalization and automation.

More than 3,200 exhibiting companies from 68 countries have presented their latest innovations and solutions to around 107,900 professionals, of which 25% came from 120 different countries. This large influx of visitors, both national and international, demonstrates the interest aroused by the fair and its ability to attract the main players in the sector.

The success of the fair has also been reflected in its economic impact, which is estimated at 180 million euros. This figure demonstrates the importance of Alimentaria & Hostelco as an economic engine for the city of Barcelona and for Spain.

Tastings, showcooking and a great experience

The fair has been a true feast for the senses, where innovation, gastronomy and knowledge have gone hand in hand with the taste of the best products.

More than 350 activities, with the participation of nearly 700 prestigious experts and chefs, have turned Alimentaria & Hostelco into a unique space for tasting.

Attendees who visited our stand were able to try a wide variety of products of the highest quality, including our mackerel, salmon, sardines and anchovies. Being the mackerel from our TEJERO brand, the main protagonist of a great dish prepared in the showcooking days, with the help of the Andalusian association LANDALUZ. A perfect opportunity to give visibility and recognition to the products of Andalusian lands.

A positive balance and a look to the future Body

Our participation in Alimentaria & Hostelco has been a resounding success. The fair has allowed us to open new doors, establish business relationships with companies from all over the world and learn about the latest market trends.

More than 100 business contacts from 11 different countries (USA, Canada, Paraguay, United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, Morocco, France, Ukraine, Malaysia and China) showed great interest in our products, and we scheduled a total of 10 meetings with potential international clients to delve deeper into the characteristics of our preserves and salted products.

We are already thinking about the next edition of the fair, which will be held in 2026. We are sure that it will be a new opportunity to continue growing and consolidating our position in the international market.
